About Us

Owner & groomer Louise Rumble originally from Australia has been a local Whistler resident since 2003. She trained in Vancouver under an award winning certified master dog groomer and is passionate about all animals.

"I grew up showing and racing endurance horses and was always surrounded with horses, dogs and cats, so I knew that I would eventually end up working with animals again. I decided to follow my heart and had the opportunity to open the dog grooming salon in Whistler.  Dog grooming is very creative work, like creating art on a live canvas.  Seeing the dogs leave the spa clean & fluffy with a new haircut provides instant satisfaction, they often look like completely different dogs and their owners are always delighted.  I consider myself very lucky to be living in an amazing town such as Whistler, doing a job that I really love"


Groomer Julia Hamstra grew up on Vancouver Island and also trained under the same award winning certified master groomer as Louise.  Julia has a natural way with the dogs, and I am delighted she agreed to join me at Bubbles.
 
“Animals have always been a big part of my life and a real passion of mine, my house was always full of pets. I had dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and various rodents. I could never get enough.  I have been volunteering at my local SPCA since the age of 10. Throughout my life dogs were always my main love and focus so working with them daily is a dream come true for me”



The Bubbles Dog Spa space has been designed to create a spa like experience for dogs.  It is a low stress environment for them as we try to have only two dogs being groomed in the spa at one time, and crate them only when absolutely necessary.  They can hang out and enjoy playing with Penny, our shop dog and in the summer they often relax in the sun in our lovely fenced backyard area.
